Title: Honda previews 2017 Civic Type R
Post by: RichardA on October 20, 2016, 08:23:15 PM

Honda showed off a prototype of the next Civic Type R at the Paris Motor Show.

On sale next year, the new car retains the same 2.0-litre engine as the current FK2 Civic Type R and continues to send power to the front wheels. Figures are yet to be announced but expect power to increase from the FK2's 306bhp output as Honda chases another record time for a FWD car around the 'Ring.

As with the cooking hatchback models the Type R will be made at Swindon and exported for the first time to North America.

Ironically,  as they have been unable to get the car up till now, it seems Type R engine has been made in USA - (Ohio) for a while now and sent to UK to fit into the car :o
