Auto Express fleet Jazz.
« on: October 26, 2016, 06:20:52 PM »
The first report is in this week's AE. A bland acknowledgement of its arrival,  600 miles done, engine still tight. Nothing we did not know.

Mine didn't loosen up till 80,000 miles, so hopefully its a long term test.

Yes, mine seemed to loosen up around that distance as well, especially the CVT which seemed to become smoother.

That must be the rubber band gearbox running in. My engine is much more lively and willing to rev after a few thousand miles.

Maybe it will get looser still in a few years  ;D

196,000 miles and its still nippy, just not used so much recently.

Sorry Deeps I did a typo I meant to say 1800 not 18000. Good job I don't do that with cheques  ::)

First report in this week's Auto Express.

Thanks for that. I can find the article through the Pressfinder website, but it not linkable from there, look posted just goes to the Pressfinder homepage. I cant find it anywhere on the Auto Express Site.

Do you have to subscribe? can you post a link?

Thanks

I have a subscription for the hard copy, it lands on my doormat every Wednesday.  The complaints are too sensitive collision warning and tyre pressure warning.

The former can be desensitised in the settings (set it to Near) and I wonder whether the complainer has read the bit in the manual about the recalibration which, we've figured out, should be done after checking / adjusting the pressure on all tyres when the vehicle is cold.

The second report on the AE fleet Jazz is in this week's Auto Express, a two page spread. Usual stuff, practicality rules, no faults, now at 2,530 miles and averaging 45.8 mpg in urban use, better than turbocharged superminis they have run. My real world fuel consumption is similar at the moment.

The final report is in this weeks Auto Express. Conclusion, practical and reliable but uninspiring. The only fault is a slow drivers door window, a common fault according to them.

Edit -

On checking my drivers door window was a bit slow, fixed with a spray of silicone along the vertical seals.
