Jazz - front seat problem
« on: April 19, 2007, 02:14:12 PM »
Just bought a 2003 Honda Jazz, privately. The foam in the front driver’s seat seems to have slightly collapsed and when I sit in it I can feel a horizontal bar in the seat beneath my thighs (although my wife can’t feel it, being a lighter a person! Roll Eyes ). Wondering what to do about this. It’s not really uncomfortable - just makes me fidgety. Would the drivers seat be repairable (new foam padding?), or am I looking at a completely new seat (mega-bucks?).

Difficult to say without actually sitting in the seat, but I would say the seat has some wear in it and so could be fixed by adding new padding. There really is very little to go wrong with a car seat!

Hi again, just read your other post, its probable that after 50k the driver’s seat will see some noticable wear depending on the weight of the driver

Have a look around for a local independent car upholsterer and have a word with them they are usually very obliging.
