2010 i vtec i shift jerky ride??
« on: January 09, 2019, 05:26:26 PM »
hi all and a happy new year, recently my i shift has become a little bit as i say jumpy / jerky when running at low speeds, 30-45 mph it seems to be bouncing along the road a bit more than usual it definitely not shocks as i had them checked out and just had four new tyres  fitted / balanced etc i am thinking maybe a little gearbox prob?? car has only done 28000, would an oil change / HONDA MTF FLUID AND THIS XADO 120 TREATMENT  do it good??? and perhaps smooth things out a little?? I would be great full for any help or suggestions especially thoughts on this syringe type oil treatment many thanks

The I-shift is an automated manual box, so any jerking is likely to be the clutch or its actuator - maybe as well to change the oil anyway even though car has only done 28,000 but I doubt that is the problem and doubt than the additive will help like it might do in a CVT box.

Can you describe the jerkiness? Is the car changing gears or running in the same gear? I had a bit of rough running as I used supermarket petrol for a couple of tanks due to location. But once I returned to Shell V-Power, it's seems alot smoother. Otherwise, Daniel in Northampton is a specialist on the i-shift.
