Has anyone in the UK yet built or attempted to build a K20?d Jazz?

Just wondering as Im about to start looking for one to build.

I don’t how sucessful it will be. I’m not sure if the Jazz in the above link was a runner, certainly the chassis would need upgrading to cope with the extra power. Maybe a better idea would be to fit a smaller VTEC unit, like a 1.5 or 1.6, but boost the power and shed some weight?

Slot in the K20, update the suspension but keep the body standard.

Buy a Type-R badge off eBay and stick it on the rear of the car - everyone will laugh think it’s still got the standard engine…until you put your foot down..

Fantastic!

Although how easy was it? I know some Citroen Saxo owners talked about dropping a Peugeot XU engine (160BHP, 133Ib torque) from a 405 Mi16/Citroen BX 16-valve, but the conversion would involve new driveshafts and various other mods. A fair better idea was to tune the 1.6-litre 120bhp 16-valve from the Saxo VTS/106GTi (which in standard form got me pulled over on the A3 :-[).
