I presume the part will be coming from the UK.

Probably not from the UK, more likely from Belgium: Honda Motor Europe Logistics NV

Honda Motor Europe Logistics handles the distribution of cars, motorcycles, power products and industrial motors. We also coordinate the logistics of parts and accessories for the European market. — all from our sites in Ghent and Aalst, as well as our six branches across Europe.

Honda Jazz Mk1 2002-2008 / Issues with keys

I cannot open the front doors of my Honda Jazz 2004 with the key. When I insert the key, I cannot turn it to open the door. However, I can open and lock the car from the trunk using the same key. The keys are working for starting the ignition. This issue started recently; it was working fine when I bought it a few months back. What can I do?

Found that if you lock the car with the key it doesn't set the alarm, could be a work around

I feel the same

Sods law will dictate that I've just loaded up at B&Q and I'll get stuck in a public car park full of gear

Hi,
After buying mine from a Honda dealer I found that they hadn't done the transmission oil change or much servicing as it was a low milage disability car? I went to my local Honda dealer who were another branch of the same dealership and they did the oil change FOC.
I was not impressed with the first dealer who argued that the oil change was due at 5 years, they ticked the box saying that the puncture fluid was within date when it was out, obviously an exercise in box ticking. I always wondered if this contributed to the early failure.

Going back to Jazziks question about the owners who have so far been trouble free in the affected years (supposedly) of the brake simulator failure.  Although I am quite reluctant to tempt fate, my car has been entirely trouble free, except a piece of trim came loose in the wheel arch, which I re-attached and all fine since.  BUT like some of you, I am now always wondering if one day the brake failure bug will strike. If it happens it happens, but I do hope it happens when I'm at home, not away travelling somewhere!

They didn't say where the leak was, I'm hoping it won't be damage from a stone & we have to pay. I presume the part will be coming from the UK, so it will probably arrive just in time for winter.

I had a problem finding one , in the end managed to get a used one cheap from a Honda dealer.
They were available new but around £150

I posted a couple of pics in the thread
https://clubjazz.org/forum/index.php?topic=14674.msg120313#msg120313

Even though £150 is steep, the dealers I rang around me are all quoting £350 for a a full kit including the tyre. Perhaps the foam is £150 of that but they couldn't split the cost for some reason.

I think I will just have to fashion something myself or keep a watch on ebay as someone will eventually sell one.

Has this rusting not been picked up by your Dealer when being serviced.  Corrosion warranty requires annual inspection.

About 12 years ago I ended up in court with Ford with rusting issues on a Focus.  Ford didn't turn up, paid up in a week.
