Recently bought 2016 Jazz S. Opened the rear hatch and thought the bulb had blown! No it was just being a glow worm and was no use at looking in the boot in darkness. Solved it by buying a stick on battery powered round sensor light. Only operates when low light/dark, reacts to the lifting of the hatch and stays on for 10-15 secs. Enough time to get out shopping. Why can't manufactures fit decent boot lights?

There was a thread about this recently, as a result of which I bought a brilliant replacement bulb for both our Jazzes....will see if I can find it.

Alternatively take up golf. That way you always know what it's the boot without having to look.
Golf gear and grass ;D
