It's worth noting that Red Bull have been sufficiently impressed by this year's performance in the Toro Rosso cars that they will be using Honda engines next year

Looks like relationship with Renault was a bag of nails anyway, and Mclaren kept blaming Honda for problems caused by shortfalls in its chassis ( and the fact that they had not allowed enough space in their chassis for proper engine installation and cooling).

Hartley in 12th and Gasly DNF in Abu Dhabi
Gasly came 15th overall in the season and Hartley in 19th.
Torro Rosso came 9th out of ten teams in the Constructors' ranking with 33 points.

Watch this space. Red Bull undoubtedly produce a good handling car so if the Honda engine produces the goods Red Bull maybe even closer to the front than ever.
Honda are keeping schtum about any engine improvements and Torro Rosso haven't had too bad a season with the existing one.
Did McClaren move away from Honda too hastily?

Interesting to note that Honda have denied McClaren the use of a Honda engine for Alonso's entry into next years Indy 500. They will use the other, common, Indy 500 engine made by Chevrolet.
