Just an advance warning that I am not very practical with cars, or anything mechanical, so bear with me.

Some of the dashboard switch backlights have gone so I have been following some instructions from this forum to remove the radio to gain access. Got as far as pushing the radio headunit out from behind via the glove box, enough to get a grip on it but after that it would not budge.
Apparently it is a bit hard to get out but my worry was actually breaking something or damaging the trim so I gave up. Exactly how hard do you have to pull/push it or am I missing something?

Thanks

It doesn't so much 'come out' as tilt right forward to give access behind it; only comes out if you unplug wires and cables.

Well so far I've only gotten it out by less than a centimetre on the left, enough to get a tenuous grip but not even close to getting any kind of access.
