2004 Honda Jazz starting problem
« on: March 08, 2011, 12:01:48 PM »
I have a 2004 Honda Jazz SE 1.4. This morning when I went to get in the car the central locking didn't work.  I unlocked the car manually but when putting the key in the ignition literally nothing happened. No sounds, no lights and needless the say, the engine wouldn't start.  I went back into the house and got my spare key, same problem.

My brother has tried jump starting with no luck. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what the problem could be or what I can try?

Flat battery.
Did you leave the lights on? Interior lights?

A jump start may not work depending on how good your leads are and the connections.

Take the battery out and charge with a regulated charger. You'll do less damage to it charging it gently from dead flat, rather than a jump start.
