Jazz on finance
« on: March 25, 2019, 07:06:12 PM »
Hi all really need some advice am upgrading from 08 plate as it’s had it’s day. So local Honda dealer have 1.2 engine 2013 plate up for 7k with 3 year servicing and 5 year guarantee. I’ve been looking at other dealers prices and there no more than 6k. I am generally happy with the offer but I worry that after 5 years the car is not gonna be worth much and I can’t decide what to do

Auto Trader has 15 (only one private sale), from £3.9K to £6.5K. £7K would need to be extra special for me.

3 years servicing and 5 years guarantee sounds pretty good for a 2nd hand Jazz.

I'd guess that the servicing and warranty are worth about £1000. If paying that gives you 4 years of stress free motoring then it's good value, assuming that you don't do more than the service interval per year. Personally when I've been looking to change, I've gone on Autotrader and put in how much I want to spend, and then see what I can get:

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-search?sort=mileage&radius=1500&postcode=bb51aa&onesearchad=Used&onesearchad=Nearly%20New&onesearchad=New&make=HONDA&model=JAZZ&price-to=7000&year-from=2015&exclude-writeoff-categories=on

BTW, that's not my post code  :)

Does the 1.2 jazz lose anything from the 1.4 other than a bit of power? (noisier, missing feature etc).

The 2013, 1.2L is only available in the S, which is the bottom of the range with none of the frills.
