Engine fan running

The radiator fan seems to run more often than in any of my previous cars and it seems to run fairly hot - is this normal? It's a 2012 CVT Jazz.

Arthur,  Is your aircon on ? If so the condensor/radiator cooling fans cycle at approx 8 to 10 sec intervals.

Yes, it was the aircon.  I thought I'd turned it off.  Thanks!
