Number plate size

Does anyone know if its possible to get a rear number plate that completely fills the rear number plate area
Like what jaguar and rover did on the s type and the 75

In the days when I used to make number plates as part of my job, manufacturers such as Bestplate and Hills would make plates in any size you wanted as a one-off (mind you, they weren't cheap!). Your best bet is to try an independent motor factor who could probably get one made for you.
