Aux. screen - showing trip not total mileage?

This started the other day. Cycle through the options on the aux. screen goes through average mpg, distance to next fill, etc. But you always get back to one with an instantaneous mpg readout and the total mileage on it. Now I'm stuck with Trip A mileage instead. Took a look at the manual and played about but still no change.

Could it have to do with the fact that we were just about out of motion lotion and the display automatically flips to this display? Anyone know?

Pressing the middle button successively will cycle through total mileage, trip A mileage, trip B mileage

Thanks. Was literally just about to post this after finding this out for myself by randomly-ish pushing buttons ....
