Honda Jazz Mk3 2015 - 2020 / Re: paint bubbling / lacquer peeling
« Last post by zesty_bum on Today at 02:01:16 PM »
Update: all fixed! Made a mild complaint to Honda and they made it as good as new (free of charge).

Looks like they’ve missed out the rubber seal on one of the rear bumper parking sensors - will this cause an issue?

Thanks for all the helpful comments in thread  ;D

I’ve booked a test drive for Tuesday

I will mention the brake issue to them just to see what they say about it as I know at least two people on here have used the same dealer for their repair

Honda Jazz Mk3 2015 - 2020 / What is this bush / connector called?
« Last post by JazzyJJ on Today at 01:14:26 PM »
The yellow arrow is missing. Pink is what is should be as on other side. Anyone know whats its called?

The bolt just above and right of it was sitting there unscrewed and I had to screw it back in. Could the fact that the connector is missing cause enough vibration for it to unscrew itself or they forgot both. Im surprised the bolt was still there after all this time.

The front bumper was changed back in early '23 but its been serviced since last May so strange. Can only think they forgot to put it back in or broke it and didnt replace it?

It's very wise to include a trolley jack as aphybrid has done, I found it next to impossible to use a regular screw jack, the car is extremely heavy, we bought an electric one, press a button & up she goes. Only had to use it the once but a Godsend.

Indeed I had one of them for time, can't remembr name/type, used it mainly for lifting in garage where space a bit limited also very fast compared to other methods.
all was well until one day would not lower!! Reverted to jacks.

If your Jazz is not manufactured btwn 2/7/2018 and 15/9/2022 you are less likely to experience this fault (my understanding).   God luck !!

Divine good wishes are so welcome, and ensure we will come out on top!

Having run Michelin Cross Climates for 6 years, they are far from "mediocre".
And changing wheels for winter in the UK (Unless Northern Scotland) is not needed. Snow is minimal.

Have you tried both? I guess not. The difference is when I need do an emergency brake on the HW you will slam my arse in 40-50 km/h. And I will come for you with my jack handle...

I dont understand how honda are not jumping all over this safety issue !! So far in our forum no one has crashed because of the simulator failure …and lets hope no does . A colleage had a mini several years ago and as his wife went into a roundabout the steering jammed . The mini wasnt new and outside its warrantry ! Bmw mini replaced its steering rack without fuss and no cost . Further more sent the engineering investigation report to show what had happened and why !! As the honda issue isnt restricted to one model they should be hugely more Proactive IMHO. I decided to buy my jazz , which i considered to be a premium price over a non hybrid conventional car , believing the good reputation for reliability wouldnt give any issues . I also think that any part specifically required for the hybrid system ( of which the brake simulator is one , power controller electric motor HV battery etc) should be covered by the 8 yr 100,000 warrantry - this is the expensive tech to replace and you wont do that outside the honda dealer network as you need honda software to install and commission! I noticed yesterday a new model honda HRV for sale at my local Kia dealer …. 7 year warrantry .. ho hum

Honda Jazz Mk3 2015 - 2020 / Re: Garmin Maps Europe 2024 Available
« Last post by dayjavoo on Today at 10:44:42 AM »
a bit more info. , Garmin got back to me , they are aware of the problem and are working on it.

It is a temporary technical issue which they hope to resolve , all those that phone in about the problem have been added to the group case file , their email addresses logged and they will be notified as soon as the update becomes available.

Latest response from Garmin after contacting them by email regarding non-availability of Europe 2024 map update for 2017 Jazz:

"Thank you for contacting Garmin.
Regarding Honda 2016 map update - if there is no update offered in the Garmin Express app, this means that you will need to contact the Honda dealer to get the map update.
Kind regards,
Aleksandra
Garmin Europe"

Do I believe this or should I continue to wait in hope that Garmin will come up with a solution?

On the upside: Modern tyres are much more forgiving of normal punctures and our chances are good to safely reach next service station thanks to the on-board air compressor (just don't use the gunk!)

In this situation of a slowish puncture, and you decide to carefully drive on to the next (motorway) services, I had heard that the breakdown companies won’t attend; as they would if you are on the hard shoulder.

I would love to have this possible myth dismantled!

I also have Jazz Advance, July23 reg. currently on 7000 miles. I'm very happy with it and would happily buy another one.
I am still happy with my Jazz and HR-V both. However Honda UK's customer service policy for not filing Product Recall on this subject is the last straw in my case. I never felt previously Manufacturer's Warranty so vital, to make my life stress-free. Imagine,  my Jazz would have developed this fault 3 months earlier within warranty period (or product recalled).........haha
