Thanks for info mate!
I wonder if they deliver outside UK, as I'm from Romania.
Their Facebook account seems to be inactive since 4 years ago so I sent them a message in the contact form. Hopefully they will reply  :)

Honda Jazz Mk1 2002-2008 / Re: moving off uphill
« Last post by jaxabin on June 07, 2023, 11:07:41 PM »
Hi all

Thanks for all the posts! I'm stalling almost never now (sometimes on flat ground I stall because I forget to gas because I assume it will be fine tho oops!) and maybe mcdonalds drivethru when I'm right behind a hump the small steep ones.

Today I had a weird issue. I paid on the clifron suspension bridge and went towards the gate that opens and I tried to move off and it seems like it had no power. I put so much revs and eventually it started to move off. Then it was mostly downhill in 2nd gear and the revs rose a lot (is this normal because of engine braking?) and it felt like the 3rd gear was in a slightly different position than it usually felt (straight up but this time it felt like it was going a little bit of the angle). The higher gears worked fine and then it seemed like I didn't have the same issue again for the rest of the journey. After I got home and parked I put the clutch down with the car off and the gears seemed like normal, third was straight up again and I didn't feel it like it was feeling a little bit earlier

Just confused what happened? is the gearbox okay?

edit: also when i was trying to move off on the bridge, i pressed the throttle quite a bit but in the indicator the rpm didnt really move? buit i could hear the engine making noise?

Yep, still great. Cannot see any issues. Will buy another 5 litre bottle soon and do another flush before MOT when changing oil and filter too. No judder, not there was any significant one before the change, perhaps slight.

Any update on this CVT fluid replacement?
Honda CVT-F seems to become very rare and expensive. Although I bought a stock of 2x 4 liters, I would not mind to have a cheaper provider for flush purpose.

I believe the injector o-rings are the cheapest and fastest way to try resolving the problem.
Even brand new injectors are cheap enough if you want to make a full replacement.
Leave the car to stay for 3-4 days without starting the engine and make the following test to see how bad is the problem.
Ask your wife to start the engine while you look at the rear exhaust. If in the first 10-15 seconds after engine start you will see a dense white or light blue smoke, than the issue is pretty bad and it will need attention fast.

I will check with the smoke.. but i am pretty sure there is no white or blue smoke when i start it.. but i will check it again...

So should I hold off on replacing the fuel regulator..??

Do you know where i could these injector o-rings from... I had look on eBay and lots of them for civic, crv etc.. but none for jazz.. or is it an OEM part?

All I can suggest is you get dirty and check the fuel lines for possible leaks. It depends on where and how you drive but 43 mpg doesn't sound like you have a major leak.
I would have a look at the air filter element (if you haven't already) and try a short journey with the fuel filler cap off. It may be the vent pipe that is blocked/crimped.

does the vent go back into the tank? No:13, No:17 seems to be vent pipes... and No:18.

13 and 17 seems to connected back into the tank, on the fuel strainer assy.

I suspect that you have an electrical malfunction of the battery.
It happened to me few years ago on a similar Jazz. The battery was only 5-6 months out of warranty and suddenly the car refused to start.
After trying to start with charging cables from another car with no result (the engine was rotating but would not start), I took of the battery and  took her to a service with battery tester. They said in anout 10 minutes that the battery would not accept energy from any source, I bought a new battery and and everything worked flawlessly again.
Luckily, the alternator was fine, passed the charging test required for the new battery warranty.

The heatshield is above the centre box, right under the driver's seat. Item 18 in this image.
There are also a couple to the rear on a Mk 2 but the one under your seat is the one that normally rattles.

Hi all,

I've had my 2009 Jazz for just over 6 months now. No issues at all except for a rattling sound at high revs, especially in gears 4 & 5. A loose heat sheild has been suggested but cannot see one.

I've previously driven another Jazz GE that did the exact same thing. So I'm assuming it's a common fault? Any thoughts?
