Hi, I’ve just taken delivery of a brand new Jazz, any suggestions on break in the engine? Thanks.

Engines don’t need to be broken in like they used to. For the first few hundred miles, vary the load and avoid high revs, no bouncing off the rev limiter or long periods on idle.

Try and vary the rpm. If on the motorway or A-road dual carriageway, downshift once in a while. You should drive like a bat out of hell but no need to drive it like a granny.

Avoid full throttle and rapid acceleration for the first 600miles. Easy on the brakes for the first 200 miles….unless you really have to…!
