The independent local garage that I went to for the brakes, aren't convinced its the compressor that is at fault, as it blows cold for around 20 minutes. Their theory is if the compressor is broken it doesn't blow cold at all.
I don't think the hybrid Jazz has a totally different set-up to the standard Jazz, although its a different compressor.
I have now been on to Honda UK and asked them if hey have a dealer that specialises is air conditioning, apparently the answer is "No". They suggest trying another dealer for a second opinion, which I said is fine, but its costing me time off work and £50 a time for someone else, who is not a specialist to look at it, and lets face it the first opinion appears to be wrong, and Honda UK agree that it probably isn't the compressor thats at fault.
So I have called another Honda dealer, and mentioned it all to them and they suggest, book it in, and they will have a look at it, however they have offered to waive the inspection fee, so fair play to Norton Way Honda of Letchworth. I will report back next week after their inspection.
Honda UK have got back to me and they think its the Compressor Coil Clutch that may be the problem, but need to put it through a few tests and want the technicians to call Honda UK on Tuesday and put them through to the technicians there who run a "Tess Track". Things are looking a bit more positive that we are getting to the bottom of this.
