When I bought mine the tyres were different, two Dunlop originals and 2 Falcon. They weren't even on the same axles, one Dunlop and one Falcon on the front and same on the back.
I'd already bought the car before I realised and I had a real go at the salesman who brought his manager. They both insisted the brand didn't matter, it was the tread pattern that had to match.
No end of arguing on my part would make them budge.
This was Grimsby's main Honda dealer. Their stance on this and other issues I had means I will never deal with them again, but could they care?? seems not.
