System model version
« on: October 30, 2021, 11:57:30 AM »
I believe my recent Jazz is model year 22

(71 plate, VIN has an N)

On checking the system for updates (for which we need to disconnect phone from CarPlay and reconnect as WiFi hotspot unless connecting to another hotspot?!) I find my car doesn’t see any updates.

When looking at General, System, About, it says Model Number is MY20ADA.

Is that right and do others with ‘new’ Jazz see same?

Thanks

I dont know about car play  but My 22my EX  came with outdated 2020.10 garmin maps if thats anything to go by.

I have updated to 2021.10 maps but even these are out of date( It still shows the A14 through Huntingdon as a route when in fact it has literally been dug up and grassed over.  -my garmin standalone which is updated 4 times a year i has it correct.)

M is 2021, so N is 2022.

My guess is that the other info you are seeing is the software level of the system. There will be others more qualified than me on this forum who will be able to more accurately answer your question.

Mine is the same.

I believe that MY20 is just the headunit/software version. Garmin maps are 2021.10 at the moment but some earlier Civic models are getting 2022.10 updates so they are hopefully in the pipeline for us.
Let's be careful out there !
