The Black Edition is limited to the last 100 examples of the outgoing Type R The Honda Civic Type R (http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-review/honda/civic-type-r) Black Edition has been revealed as the swansong to the current-generation Honda (http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-reviews/honda) hot hatch.

Production of the Black Edition has been limited to the last 100 examples in the Type R's 2500-unit UK production run, and all 100 have already been built. They’re on their way to dealers currently, according to Honda, meaning that the Honda Civic Type R (http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/our-cars/honda-civic-type-r-long-term-test-review) has officially finished production in its current form.
