Squeak from clutch pedal

As I lift my foot off the clutch pedal I get a high pitched squeak. I have tried spraying lubricant up toward the pedal pivot but no success. I am wondering it it might be the actual master cylinder or push rod.
Any ideas? I don't want to be too lavish with oils in case I get a reaction to plastic bushes or rubber components. Difficult to accurately locate the source.

I had a similar problem in my EP3 Civic Type R and it turned out to be the Master Cylinder.

Best take it to the dealer or garage and ask them to check it out

the pivot point that squeaks is pretty high up and inaccessible - try one of those PTFE / silicon lubricants (shouldn't cause the bushes to swell) with the extended red tube and a torch,  you will need to push drivers seat fully rearwards and lie on the floor to see it. 

Happened on both of our family Jazz's - funny it normally happens when the pedal is returning to up position.

Common problem on jazz's civic's and accords. Squeak is master cylinder, creak is pedal.

If it is the master cylinder (which I was worried it might be) what is the safe fix? I don't want to damage the seals.

New cylinder is £106.28 inc VAT from honda. Or just ignore the squeak

Turn the radio up  2 notches then forget it
