Latest nutty idea from Scotland - if you want to reduce tourism by 99% do something like this...

It is indeed April 1st - but the problem is that the story is entirely believable given the way SNP has been behaving.

Thanks for the link Jocko.
I still think publication of the article should have been delayed by a couple of days. ;D
It was actually published on the 29th of March.

Watched a documentary last night about Yellowstone Volcano, the area where the national park now stands is actualy the crater of a very active volcano that has erupted before ( the crater replaced a mountain range in the same spot ). They found traces of the ash from that eruption as far way as New York and Mexico,  and calculate that if it erupted today it would wipe out most of north America and have a major impact on the whole world, climate would cool rapidly due to ash in the atmosphere ( the ash and debris would fill the Grand Canyon twice over - don't know how many Olympic size swimming pools or how many times the area of Wales that is ).

I am gonna start worrying over that now, more real than global warming / climate change / or whatever they are calling it nowadays....

Nope.
That may happen and there is nothing we can do about it.
Global warming is happening and we can still do something about it.

Yes, I watched it as well ( for second time).

Very well presented.

I had a swift debate with myself  (as one does in lockdown) as whether I should store 2 years of water and food to survive the two year if Yellowstone did erupt. Then decided I would probably die from dust inhalation so decided not to bother. A Funeral Plan would be a waste of money as well - no-one to bury me!)
