Led parking lights -> blown fuse
« on: September 26, 2020, 12:32:04 PM »
Hi all,

I tried to install these w5w leds as parking lights. It blown the fuse :)
So I guess that was not a wise thing to do.

Are there any other leds for parking lights or is there a way to make them work?

I got these for headlight bulbs but haven't tried them yet. Hope they will work?

Thank you all!

Hi

I don’t know about parking lights but those headlight led will fail mot test and you will likely be flashed by annoyed oncoming drivers

I only know because son in law bought them and after mot failure for lights, he openly admitted he was flashed all the time and that one of the bulbs started to fail after 4 months

I was lucky and bought a set of classic car led from here for my daughter car

Many thanks

John

If they blow the fuse then you have a faulty bulb. Cheap Chinese rubbish. Buy a set of bulbs from the EU.
Don't know what the testing in the Netherlands is like but LED bulbs are illegal in Europe in units not certified for them.

I upgraded my headlights and side lights with road legal high output bulbs. Reasonable price, quality bulbs, mega increase in brightness, reach and spread. Do not bother oncoming traffic. Got mine from ABD.co.uk on internet.
