are locking wheel nuts standard?

Could anyone confirm if locking wheel nuts are fitted as standard on the mk4 Jazz with alloy wheels or do they need to be purchased separately?

Do you mean the anti-theft ones? In this case no, you have to purchase them separately as an optional.

Why do Honda charge for them? It seems parsimonious to say the least!

Every Honda I have ever owned has had locking wheel nuts
( except motorbikes  ).

I was chatting about this with the owner of my favourite independent garage a few weeks ago and he was saying no one is stealing alloy wheels these days, even on high end cars. That's in one of the rougher parts of Bradford. So I'm going back to the original nuts.

All new UK registered Hondas with alloy wheels have locking wheel nuts as standard, this includes the Mk4 Jazz with alloy wheels/plastic trims. (e.g. SR/EX)

Not just Honda, there are lots of examples where a standard item is also offered as an option. If you go ahead and accept your configuration and pay based on that you could be being overcharged.

The rear view camera is also listed as an extra (£400 if I remember) but is standard. You have to wonder who proof reads the brochures, and I’m sure it’s not just Honda but it’s the only one I’ve looked at.

I suspect it is a standard list of extras which might be needed and doesn't differentiate between the different models.

it might be a typo.
Rear view camera is standard on EX & Crosstar
It's an optional for lower trims.
Be awara that £400 doesn't include the mounting costs, which are added on top.
This is because all the optionals aren't factory mounted, but they are mounted by the dealer
