Rear seat release
« on: September 11, 2016, 07:20:29 PM »
If you are inside the car, facing the rear - the left hand side single backed seat release wont budge.

I have successfully doped the right hand double seat back. The little flip up handle worked ok.

Any ideas on how to get the seat to drop with out breaking the release handle?

I would try pushing and pulling on the seat back while operating the release lever to see if that frees it.

I discovered this cubby hole containing the wheel inflation kit had partially opened and the plastic tube wedged down the side!

Thanks for the tip - that's exactly how I dislodged it.

I experienced the problem of rear seat release for over two months on an intermittent basis. When taken to the local Honda garage it miraculously cured itself! Took the opportunity to spray the exposed   release mechanism liberally with WD 40 which has, touch wood ,cured the problem.
