Petrol Prices
« on: September 16, 2019, 10:10:07 AM »
Yesterday, I was in Morrisons, and noticed that their petrol was £1.257/litre. I wasn't quite ready to top up, but by this morning I was regretting my decision. With the reduction of Saudi output by 50%, due to the drone strikes, and Trump's rhetoric about "locked and loaded". I expected the price to have jumped up this morning (Brent crude up 20%) but when I went in it was down further, at £1.227/litre. I bought their 97 octane, but even that was down to £1.287/litre.
I even had a 5p/litre off, voucher so I only paid £1.237/litre.
Think this will be the last of cheap petrol for a while though, as the problems with Iran are only going to escalate. And me having to do huge mileages (for me) at the moment!

Sainsbury's, Tesco, ASDA and Morrisons have announced they are dropping petrol prices by 3p / litre.

That'll soften the blow of prices going up shortly following the attacks on the Saudi oil refinery.
