Honda Jazz Mk4 2020 - / Re: Compared to Mk 2, 3 Prius?
« Last post by Hicardo on October 12, 2024, 09:10:09 PM »
Toyota have resolved this in recent years.  It certainly was a problem with the older Prius.  I had one.  Very inert steering.  We now, along with a Honda, have an Aygo X, and the steering is one of the best features of the car!

SO - just back from long long trip over to Germany and back.  Was worried about the brake problem, as we have a 2021 Crosstar.  No problems at all, not a single blip.  Phew.   ;D

Honda Jazz Mk4 2020 - / Re: Honda Jazz Mk4 12v battery "upgrade"?
« Last post by Hicardo on October 12, 2024, 09:00:08 PM »
Never happened in our Crosstar, but 10 years ago, we had a Toyota Auris hybrid.  And we used to park up, chat, listen to radio all the time, mostly in ev mode, but often in accessory mode.  NEVER a problem in the 8 years or so we had the car.  However the Toyota dealer did tell me a couple times at service time that the voltage was a bit low on the 12v battery.  They recommended a long drive or two.  We already did fairly decent trips with it, so I was somewhat surprised.  Anyway, the battery never let us down, but I was aware that the dealer considered it problematical.  Odd that car was designed that way.  I suppose I tended to use EV mode (on the Toyota you could force it into EV mode) for these things, but the engine would always kick in eventually when it needed to.

It probably should come with a recommendation in the vehicle manual of how to properly use the vehicle in these sitting around listening to the radio circumstances, but not actually driving.

Honda Jazz Mk3 2015 - 2020 / Re: Do I have carplay

Yes it is. After months of deliberating I had the Kenwood DMX7722DABS installed.

CarPlay in it has been excellent so far  :)

Honda Jazz Mk2 2008-2015 / Re: Dashboard switch backlights - how to change
« Last post by ShabsUK on October 12, 2024, 04:12:00 PM »
Did this question ever get answered?
Thought I won't start a new thread but revive this one.

I have the same problem. 2009 Jazz EX 1.4 manual.
The backlight to the heating buttons and the temp and AC round buttons isn't working.
Just to be clear this is the dim backlight to the buttons that come on when you turn on the headlights, not the led lights on the buttons.
I managed to get the head unit dashboard cover off but can't see how to access the tiny T1 bulbs behind them.

Also, any idea where I can get the T1 bulbs? Honda sell them for about £10! and they come with a plastic round base. Im guessing they just slot in to replace dead ones.

Most important is how I can get to the bulbs to replace them.
Thank you

Honda Jazz Mk1 2002-2008 / Honda Jazz GD1 2005 Throttle Position Sensor TPS voltage
« Last post by jazzsport on October 12, 2024, 02:39:30 PM »
On the 2nd Oct I cleaned out my throttle body valve as I had both P0507 and P0221 codes, I had to take the battery out so it cleared the engine codes itself and it drove fine for a week but now its back and I suspect it could be the TPS, can anyone confirm the voltage it needs to is:

0.48V @ CT (Closed Throttle) 4.5V @ WOT (Wide Open Throttle)
I found this on another Honda forum and they say its generic for every Honda, can anyone confirm this or let me know the correct TPS voltage.

Thank you.

IIRC there is a rubber dampener on the driveshaft.
Apparently water creeps i, corrodes the surface metal and then bang.
I sprayed mine with liquid wax proofing to avoid that - in summer after a week's dry spell to allow any moisture to evaporate.
