Title: Just joined the Jazz Club.
Post by: Bellasdad on August 13, 2019, 04:50:06 PM
Having previously owned Audi’s, BMW’s and Volkswagen’s we’ve decided that the time is now right to downsize and become sensible.
I’ve always liked the look of the Jazz from way back in the day when it was first released and to my eyes the Mk3 is a little beauty.
I’ve read all the reviews and watched all the videos that Google has to offer, the good the bad and the ugly. The only thing that I was remotely concerned about was the reports of a lack of power from the 1.3 naturally aspirated engine.
Well we took the plunge and ordered the base model in Platinum White Pearl, no bells or whistles, just enough technology to enjoy driving without any interference from the car.
To be honest I’m absolutely blown away with it. Yes it’s no sports car but I find the driving experience so relaxed and the manual gearbox is as sweet as a nut, it actively encourages you to go up and down the gears to make the most of the sweet Vtec engine.
In a nutshell I’m so impressed with this little car, it’s probably one of the best decisions I’ve made and I’m actually enjoying driving just for the fun of it again.
Well done Honda, you’ve exceeded all my expectations with this one.

Now that´s a happy post, thank you !

Pretty much my story too.
This little car feels rock solid and the i-vtec engine perfect for my city driving.

Welcome to the club!

Like you I have owned VWs and BMW but we are now on our second Jazz, the fourth in our family. We have been very pleased with our MK3 and like you we think it does look quite good. Honda have a knack of designing cars that are quite future proof aesthetically. Take the MK1 Jazz, the design really has aged well and doesn't look that out of place amongst modern car designs.
