Alonso reached third position before being caught up in that first corner debacle and ending his race before it had really begun. Vandoorne finished in 7th.

McLaren and Honda are to end their partnership at the end of the season, with McLaren going to Renault but Toro Rosso will use Honda engines next year:

Not specifically Honda but an interesting reading nevertheless.

I have had cars that burnt oil but it did nothing for the performance!!

Vandoorne finished in 12th, Alonso retired due to reliability issues in the US GP.

Alonso finished in 10th and Vandoore in 12th.

Congrats to Lewis Hamilton for Mercedes for taking the 2017 drivers' title and his 4th title, putting him on par with Alain Prost and Sebastian Vettel and behind Fangio (5 titles) and Schumacher (7).

You'll be rooting for Torro Rosso next year, McClaren will be using Renault engines.

Disappointing season for Mclaren-Honda, finished in 9th in the constructors' rankings on 30 points (one up from the bottom). Last year they finished in 6th on 76 points:

Next year McLaren are using Renault powerplants and Honda will supply Toro Rosso after they split with Renault. Rumours suggest that TR's sister team Red Bull will use Honda in 2019.
