The radio on my new hybride is doing my head in. how do you  turn it on and off.

You press on the Volume button (the one you rotate to increase/decrease the volume).

Yes I have tried that , but  it still does not turn off ,do you have to hold it in for a few seconds,

No, just a single press turns the radio on or off

I assume you mean the normal DAB, FM, etc ?

I heard there could be issues with the satnav when the radio was turned off; something to do with the spoken directions. I just turn volume to zero and leave the radio on (it’s all within the same unit anyway, so energy wise does not make a difference).
Maybe Honda solved the issue by not being able to turn it off at all…

Well lads guess what, it was me all the time, I was pushing the button in for too long , I’ve found it just need a quick dab.

I've found that, if you try to switch the radio off before the electronics have completely woken up at the start of a trip, it fails to stop. So it might not be the length of the button press.
