Honda Jazz Mk4 2020 - / Re: Car still running after being locked...?
« Last post by aphybrid on Today at 09:06:40 PM »If I walk away from car whils ot is running and have the keys with me it makes several loud beeps - is this designed to stop me not locking whilst leaving car?
It’s to help prevent the law being broken. It’s illegal to leave a car unattended with the engine running on a public highway (although that particular law hasn’t yet caught up with the advent of hybrids where the car’s powered up but the engine isn’t necessarily running). The car doesn’t know if there’s anyone else in the car or whether it’s on a public road, so you’re getting a warning. And I suspect your insurance company would take a dim view of leaving a car unlocked.
I do not deliberatley leave car in that state, but when in driveway for instance unloading prior to garaging I have noted that beeping.
I related this fact to try and given the original query an indication a further indication of 'power' lets say instead of just engine being left on should result in a warning to prevent such an event.
I really did not want to elicit a lecture on rights/wrongs legallity or insurance repercussions.

Honda Jazz Mk3 2015 - 2020 / Re: L13B2 engine Valve Clearance.
« Last post by jazzaro on Today at 08:32:37 PM »Yes, same pattern of the Honda Deauville engine and Renault Clio 1.2 16v, valve adjustment is very easy, the long and hard job is removing and replacing all parts hiding the rocker arm cover.
Item 4 is the screw adjuster for the valve adjustment and 10 is the lock nut.
The Hillman Imp was adjusted by shims and it was a total nightmare (at the time I specialised in repairing Imp engines}. You needed drawers full of shims in all the different sizes.

« Last post by Lincolnshire Rambler on Today at 05:59:16 PM »Agreed with all of that. ! While I do accelerate foot to the floor occasionally I don’t mind the sound as you can go off at a very quickly ! It will interesting to try the new model and see it improves the sound under full throttle. I’m only curious to know it’s a software improvement change rather than anything mechanical in the drive line . My wife’s latest Toyota had an engine improvement which is totally down to software change . You barely see iany difference in driving but it’s reduces its CO2 emmisions 🤣🤣🤔

Honda Jazz Mk3 2015 - 2020 / Re: 2016 Jazz spark plugs
« Last post by pebbles on Today at 05:27:49 PM »for those of us with the 1.5 Sport , checked the user manual
it uses the same plugs , NGK - DILZKAR7C11S
or DENSO - DXE22HCR11S
not sure if the Denso are inferior but they are a fair bit cheaper

3:Sensory Method
Adjust the valves during service 120,000 km (75,000 miles) if they are noisy.

Honda Jazz Mk1 2002-2008 / Re: Aircon still failing
« Last post by Jocko on Today at 03:23:27 PM »There will be no fluid running if the clutch is not engaging. It is fairly common from what I have read on the forum here. Even as simple as a faulty relay. With the aircon switched on, confirm the compressor SHAFT (not the pulley) is turning.

« Last post by Vigman on Today at 02:51:15 PM »Have you confirmed the clutch to the compressor is engaging? Can you hear it?Thanks. I can see in the observation glass that there is no fluid running in the system (again!) despite a new condenser and dye test.

« Last post by Vigman on Today at 02:49:32 PM »Thanks. Yes, the company (a specialist who has done this for 25+ years) did do a dye test and spent a long time investigating it. This was last Spring but just trying out again a week ago there is no cold air at all.
I’ll get back to them but don’t want a refill too early in the season!
