« on: June 25, 2021, 04:28:37 PM »
does the 2018 jazz have radio codes if you take the battery off or have they done away with them as it built into the car these days?

thanks

I believe that the radio code for the Mk 3 Jazz is stored in the ECU. I recall disconnecting the battery on my HR-V (same platform) in order to try to get the stop-start working and there were no ill-effects.

After a battery disconnection you only have to keep the on/off button pressed for 3-4 seconds, as requested by the unit.
Each unit has its own code stored inside the unit itself and in other ECUs of the car, so if you change your unit you must align it with the rest of the car.
