Alan. How many Jazz's do you have? Your profile says a 2006 (below flag), and here you say a 2008. Do you have both?
-
Hi Jocko I have a 2008 jazz sorry but it must be my thick sausage finger typing I have now changed the date :'( ;D

I've just purchased the 1.4 ES manual; my second Jazz (I had a Mk1 CVT). First impressions are it feels slightly bigger and rides more smoothly. I can't believe how smooth the manual gearbox is -- very pleased.
-
We have two jazz's, my 55 plate Mk1 and the 11 plate Mk2, both are excellent vehicles, the 55 plate has 73000miles logged and the 11 plate 41000.

What a find!
Not trying to teach you to suck eggs but hope you have it booked in for a service as a lot of items will not have benefittted from standing for 5 years?
Drive safely.

You are right, I would have to think long and hard about buying a car that has stood for that long, would rather get a car with more miles that has been used regularly. Certainly brake fluid will need changing and maybe brakes need a good look as well as cylinder or calipers may have stuck.
As Jocko says get a new battery...and put a big dose of redex through it to clean out all the crud left behind by 5 year old fuel.
Very low mileage cars are often not the bargain they seem, they have the 'wrong kind of miles' in them, the opposite of motorway miles...
-
Still sounds like he got an absolute bargain. A bit of TLC and it should come good.

I have a 2009 EX i-shift which I've had for two years now. I absolutely love the car as it's economical (52-mpg on a run and 42-mpg around town). I have replaced the original battery (failed after nine years) and apart from wiper blades and a set of Bosch iridium-tipped plugs it has cost me nothing except fuel and oil. I also changed the gearbox oil. It now has just over 70,000 miles on the clock (48,000 when I acquired it) and It drives extremely well. I use the paddles to change down when approaching junctions and roundabouts and run the tyres at 2.2-bar when cold. This, I find, gives excellent roadholding and ride on Kumho tyres. Overall, it's a beautifully designed car that suits my driving needs both on short local journeys and regular trips to Cockermouth in the Lake District from my home near Barnsley in Yorkshire. Oh...and it had the necessary airbag replacement under the Honda scheme.

I am looking at a 2013 1.4 EX or a 2014 1.4 ES Plus.
Seem to be the only difference is the sunroof, anything else other than that?
-
just arranged to swop our 61 plate EX Jazz in bron/silver with panorama roof for a 15plate version.
exactly the same, noteble extra ,rear parking sensers.
hopefully this one won't have battery issues !!!
PS. is anyone else having issues accessing the site via Tapatalk on the phone ??
Tapatalk works OK for the motorbike sites, but not the Jazz.
Happy New year all

Picked up my 2008 Japanese Honda Fit a couple of weeks ago. Very happy with it. It’s the 1.3 with the cvt gearbox, and an extremely low mileage. It came with steel wheels but I’ve refurbished a set of series 1 alloys and fitted those which look a lot better.

Lovely looking car.
