Hello TI - Time for a new ride?
« on: September 27, 2020, 09:35:53 AM »
Hi Guys,

I have a Jazz 1.4 i-VTEC EX (manual) 59reg owned from new, that's just ticked over the 113k mileage mark.  It's running fine still and had been serviced at a Honda garage until 2019.  Latest service was done by inde garage as my local Honda garage closed.  Only things that have been changed are the usual wear and tear things like brake pads, tires etc as never had any issues with the car.

I would like to keep the car for a few more years but was wondering if I do, what sort of things commonly start going wrong with this model Jazz at this mileage.

Appreciate any advice or links to info, many thanks.

My 56 reg has only done with 130,000 with nothing other than wear items and a wishbone bush. I had to get my gearbox bearing replaced but I think the 59 box is generally okay. Only cost me £324 so not a big deal.

This hybrid Mk 2 died after 1/4 million miles https://clubjazz.org/forum/index.php?topic=10058.0 . IIRC, there was an aircon problem somewhere along the journey.

OK nice, looks like these were built to last.  I'm hoping to get another 4 years / 40k out of it.  Fingers crossed she holds out that long without any serious repairs :)

Thanks for some peace of mind guys.
