Sizzling glovebox lock

There is a slight zzzz sound emanating from the glove box lock as if a sausage is being barbequed inside.
A burst of WD 40 has made no difference but I wonder if I can adjust the catch so that the lid closes more firmly.
Otherwise loving borrowing what is the wife's delight. Amazed at the smoothness & how the glass roof makes the interior so light & airy.   Keep it closed when parked up in the sun though.   The air conditioning is instant & puts my 2012 Mercedes SLK to shame.

If you have the panoramic glass roof then you must have the top model, and if I remember correctly that has an air con vent in the glove box. Have a poke around in there and try closing it (or opening it) and see if that makes a difference.
