Engine dies

My 2004 Jazz has developed a serious, hope not terminal, problem.
When the engine is particularly hot (eg. yesterday after one hour in the freeway at 110-130 Kmh) and I switch it off (eg. yesterday I had to refill at a gas station), when I switch it back on the RPMs drop quickly, below 700, then the car accelerates by itself (as in an attempt to revive the engine...) then stalls. If I switch it on again, it does the same thing UNLESS I accelerate hard two or three times: then it gets back to normal (idling at about 700/800 rpm). If, at this point, I switch it off then back on again, it usually does not do that again.
It has been doing this for a few months, 6 or 7 times so far.
What can it be?

Yes, I forgot to mention it. It's a cheap USB ECU interface, but the error codes log is clear and there are no pending errors either.

I was going to list a whole bunch of valves/sensors that might be worth checking* but if it is code free then that indicates they are probably OK.  Instead these are the listed idle speeds:
Idle speed without a load    M/T in neutral    650±50 rpm(min-1)    CVT in [N] or [P] position    750±50 rpm(min-1)
Fast idle speed    M/T in neutral    1,500±200 rpm(min-1)    CVT in [N] or [P] position    1,500±200 rpm(min-1)

There is an 'idle speed learn procedure' after a reset but that is just letting the car idle for 5 minutes or so when warm and shouldn't need to be repeated.

One other possibility is the throttle body itself, some people have cleaned theirs but I would hope that was not necessary.

Dirty petrol/petrol filter perhaps; just clutching at straws. That probably wouldn't show up as an error.

Is _any_ malfunctioning that involves the ECU or the sensors logged as a fault?
If so, then maybe it's a mechanical problem (filters or throttle).
