Can anyone enlighten me if particulate filter and catalytic converter are the same thing on petrol engine?
No.
Catalytic converter is a "chemical device" where some type of exaust gas are modified, CO -> CO2, NOx -> becomes N2 and O2, HCx -> H20 and CO2, birefly this device tries to complete the combustion process giving no toxic or polluting matters. There is a sort of honeycomb, platinum, palladium and rhodium internally plated that promotes these reactions when the hot gas just touches the walls of the honeycomb.
The particulate filter is different, it's a filter stopping big pieces of particulate made by not fully burned gasoline or diesel. Then pieces are burned, reducing their size untile they can pass through the filter.
Sometimes we can find PF+Kat in the same assembly, placed close to exaust valves since the PF will work better if gases are hot, so it's not easy to understand if the car has PF or not just having a look under the bonnet. Anyway, EUDM GK5 Jazzs HAVE the PF.

Thanks for proper explanation!
I am still not sure if mine Jazz have it or not.

Coc document states euro norm 6 and some 133g/km average.

Would it be possible to check with OBD2 scanning?

the local Honda dealer uses Castrol Edge 0W 20 , the Honda version.

bought some top up from Opie Oils as the dealer only buys in bulk.

the full spec. for those that  understand it

ACEA C5

ILSAC
GF-6

It seems it is not so important at all which certificate 0w20 carries for either Honda dealership or local garages as I read all kind of 0w20 oils are used regardless of certificate.

Take a look at yours oil cap does it say C2 or not as on attached image on previous page in this thread.
I think Honda recommends same oil for either, namely Honda genuine 0W-20

Why not get yourself the owners manual for your Jazz, either on line from the dealer or via E Bay .As regards oils any from Opie oils you can chat with them or enter your model spec , always change oil & filter many owners prefer the Honda blue filters . Happy motoring in your Jazz

I kept reading endless forums and at the moment I think I will give a try to some 0W-30 A7 oil.

Is there a reason why you don't belive it should be C2, as stated in the oil cap?

Yes, judging from user manual and oil cap my 1.5 I-VTEC has NO particle filter and therefore it doesn't need low SAPS oil(C2) to prevent clogging on PF.
I spoke to Castrol support and they advise not to use C2 oil but A5/B5.
Still, I am confused as Honda advise to use same oil for models with and without PF, namely Honda Genuine 0w20 oil type 2.0.

As for ACEA A7 oil, it supposed to be better at preserving timing chain and prevent low speed preignition.

https://360.lubrizol.com/Specifications/ACEA-Passenger/ACEA-2021/ACEA-A7-B7-21

From ACEA A7/B7 certified oil I was able only to find 0W-30 and 5W-30.
