The Jazz I've just bought has no spare wheel, just an empty space under the boot carpet and an expired can of foam. From what I've read, once the foam has been used, the tyre is useless, and in any case can't be used in the case of a major tear. I'm tempted to buy a wheel and tyre ( ebay is offering a new wheel / tyre, delivered via Argos for approx £100) but I'm undecided. Also, how would I make a spare safe in the boot well? Any advice most welcome!

You can fit a full size spare in the well-- if you feel at the bottom of the well in the centre you can feel the shape of the boss that a bolt can go into, the carpet needs to be cut at this point and you just need a bolt and washer to secure the wheel.
If you live in Essex, I have a nearly new 15 " alloy wheel which I used twice as a spare available for a lot less !

Now I've sourced, a 16" matching alloy wheel. With TPMS sensor. I have a spare, space saver wheel.
Free, to anyone in the Chesterfield area....... :)

i bought a used rover 25 space saver wheel which has the same stud pattern, cost £30 off ebay :D

Thanks for advice. I've now bought a new wheel and tyre via Amazon, for ££89.95. The price wasn't much less than those quoted by on-line scrappers, and their's were used. I feel a bit safer with a real spare in the boot rather than a can of foam!

Hi TG! I'd love to take one of these holding bolts off your hands! How do I contact you?

Sorry but you were the 4th person after 3 bolts. If I go to the yard again I'll pick up some more, but I don't have any need to go right now; I scratched my glove box lid so needed a new one.
Once your post count has reached 10 you can send personal messages by clicking on the speech bubble to the left, (and tick the box 'save a copy in my outbox' if you want to retain the messages)
