The manual for my Honda Jazz 1.3 Hybrid (2012) says that it takes NGK DILFR6F11G spark plugs. Can I use any other spark plugs, such as NGK LFR6ARX-11P or LFR6AIX-11? I assume that the "6" for heat rating, the "11" for gap distance, and the Iridium, are all important, but I don't understand what the other letters mean. What is the difference between regular Iridium and "Iridium RX" or "Iridium IX"?

Thank you, I have seen that, or something similar, but some plugs have codes that don't fit the table.

My motorbike plug type does not come up on NGK spec sheets either, but doesn't stop people substituting other plugs without a problem, all you need is a plug of the right thread, heat range and spark position and it will work, and most modern plugs have Iridium and or platinum electrodes for long life. The plug is only there to give spark somewhere to do its stuff - some of the 'special' plugs are eyewateringly expensive, but buy from a reputable place and do not buy too cheap as the market is flooded with cheap Chinese copies of brand name plugs like NGK and Denso.

You can find the Thread, Reach, heat range and spark position in the full spec of spark plug and 'R' for resistor ( a 5000 ohm resistor in body of spark plug for RF suppression ).
