I got to 15,000 miles/24,000km on the original Yokohama front tyres before they were down to below 3mm and 20,000 miles/32,000 on the rears.

When rotating tyres, it it necessary to get them all re-balanced again?

Not necessary but my tyre center does it, and sometimes they need some little adjustments.
