This looks like a price increase, nothing to do with first year VED, surely the new car VED wouldn't amount to £510 anyway for a Jazz, IIRC there was a price increase in December 2023

Maybe Honda have jumped the gun a  bit on the OTR (on the road) price rather than having two price increases in such a short space of time.
If Honda ,and dealerships, have any sense   they will enter the current  lower tax rate on the invoice for any registrations before the increase date .This will automatically give buyers a possibly unexpected extra discount of £190 (or whatever the tax increase is)  on top of whatever deal they negotiated themselves.  Good PR.
If Honda increase the price again for april =  Bad PR  >:(

@KJazz,

I had the "official" Honda deflectors installed as listed in the Jazz accessories brochure, both front and rear doors.
They fit perfect and look ok.
Are perfect for driving in summer when it is raining and still having the windows open,
but unfortunately they do next to nothing to reduce the wind noise from a opened window.

In the higher spec model I saw someone mention that the wheel/tyre size is a little "odd" therefore hard to get tyres?

Cars from Asia  tend to use tyres sizes that are a bit less common than european sizes .
They are not 'hard to get hold of' as such. Much more common cars such as the Toyota Yaris use the same sizes. But there may be less choice of tyre brands made in that size.   And prices may be slightly higher than a similar european size.
Tyres for  higher spec 16" wheels can be significantly more expensive than the same brand in 15"  and there is less choice of all season tyres.
Local  tyre retail chains might only have one or two choices in stock  but can probably get others quite quickly.    Or for more choice you can buy tyres from on line tyre sellers such as  mytyres or blackcircles who have local fitting agents.

By way of example here is whats available from Blackcircles in the two sizes  185/60/R15 and 185/55/R16
(mytyres may have more )

https://www.blackcircles.com/tyres/185-60-15

https://www.blackcircles.com/tyres/185-55-16

You may have been thinking of the Mk4 Crosstar which uses   185/60/R16 tyres, Less common than 185/55/R16 , with even fewer brand options.

Your forgetting the VED on all newer vehicles
It is my understanding the new rates come into force in April 2025, the Honda websites shows an increase in price, the Jazz Advance was £28,085, now £28,595

All engines are i-vtec. It’s a technical term, mk3 and also mk2 all have this.
CVT is continuously variable transmission; it’s the automatic version. There is also manual.

thank you both for your comments.  Couple more questions I wanted to ask.
In the higher spec model I saw someone mention that the wheel/tyre size is a little "odd" therefore hard to get tyres?
Can someone explain the difference between i-vtec and cvt pls?  Is one manual and one automatic?  Thanks
Any thoughts about a hybrid or are those only later models.... (which I can't afford)
