The US version again has a bigger, 1.8, engine than the two offered in the UK version.

The electric parking brake, are they a problem then? Are they not fitted to any other current Honda models?

Vic.

Electronic parking brakes and disc rear brakes - Honda are really slipping (maybe literally) - IMHO electrical parking brake is a deal breaker for me,  I would never buy a car fitted with one - have heard too many bad things about them being unreliable in their release and a high maintenance item, electricity is not suitable for some things and a parking brake on a car is patently one of them..
Some people will only consider you an expert if they agree with your point of view or advice,  when you give them advice they don't like they consider you an idiot

I totally agree Culzean. One experience of electronic parking brakes was enough for me - it was on a Ford Focus C-max. The handbrake stuck on and wouldn't release, which was great fun with a queue of traffic behind. The worst part was the bill from the main dealer to replace the mechanism, which was the wrong side of £800 !!! NEVER AGAIN !!
