One feature I miss
« on: May 19, 2022, 06:59:33 PM »
Well, had the jazz almost a week now and over the moon with it.
Bought new mats and a new spacesaver wheel, jack and wheel brace.
One thing missing though....my wifes 2013 model has a handy storage compartment for the rather thick manual/navigation booklet.
Its under the rear, nearside seat and a very handy "cubby hole"
Oh well....will have to find a space in the boot with the spare.

I agree - it’s an annoying omission.  I keep mine in the boot in a section of the polystyrene floor support which came with the spacesaver kit.

Thats a good idea Downsizer, unfortunately  the polystyrene insert I had in my boot is too large to fit the spacesaver wheel so had to remove it.
Its as tall as the carpet with inserts for the "gunk",  compressor, towing eye etc...
The spacesaver wheel is now resting on an old towel and the jack etc.. is also wrapped in a towel to stop any vibration.

there is a boot polystyrene box available for use with the space saver although expensive from the dealer.

I managed to get a slightly damaged used one a lot cheaper.

Thank you Pebbles.
Think I will make do with the old towel for the time being... just forked out on a full set of Honda mats and had the rear windows and tailgate tinted.Although I expect that looks very nice in the boot. :)
