Extended Warranty and Service/Roadside package

Hi

Just taken delivery of my new Jazz Advance Hybrid.  Bought the Extended Warranty and Servicing with Roadside in a "Care Package" at the time of purchase of the vehicle.

No documentation supplied with the car upon delivery, so when I called I was surprised to learn that despite paying cash for the car I would have to wait for any documentation relating to this for 6 months, as this is all handled by the Finance Company and this is standard policy even for cash only customers. Is this the experience others have had or am I being fobbed off?  It feels a little strange to only have one line on my Invoice as proof I have something that was quite expensive and hard to prove really exists.

No, that's right, what you were told.
I did exact the same 2 years ago, having the extra warranty and breakdown etc.
Apparently they send the paperwork out in batches several times a year, I had to wait approx 3 months for my paperwork to arrive.

I wouldn’t worry, the paperwork will arrive in the post. The vehicle will be tagged , so if you need service it would be automatic. It is doubtful you would have the paperwork in the car if you needed service, to prove it, plus you must have a receipt from when you paid for the car to prove it was paid for.

Very pleased with it so far I must say. 

Loved my old one - bought it in 2007 and its still going strong.

At the end of January we swapped our 2022 Jazz EX for a new ZR-V Advance, the paperwork for the 5 year package arrived a few days ago,  about 5 weeks after collecting the car.

My paperwork arrived in post about 5 or 6 weeks after collecting car for 5 year service plan.
