... after 2.5 years ...
I'm awfully sorry but I never ever had wiper blades lasting longer than one season!
Pray, your Lordship, let us mere mortals be partial of the brand of your everlasting wipers!
Thats my latest get rich quick venture ,still under development - " VIRAL" brand (Voltemores indestructible rubber accessories Ltd) Lifetime guarantee, excluding damage from rainwater, frost, road grit and sun
I tend to keep a cars for a long time, 14 years for my Yaris, 11 years for a Corsa etc and although I have often changed front wipers I dont recall having to replace rear wipers more than once, or twice at most per car.
Perhaps I have been too critical. 30 months may be a fair lifespan, especially as the Jazz seems to attract more than its fair share of dirt to its tailgate. But my first reaction was " already?" Maybe I was annoyed as the split was not at the delicate wiping edge but where it attaches to the arm, which didnt need to be such thin rubber. If Honda ones need replacing this often I might as well pay £6 or so for Bosch than £20 for Honda.
On the plus side the original front wipers are still going strong, with no sign of needing replacement just yet. I think cleaning the rubber every so often can help restore or delay any smearing ,squeaking etc that might otherwise prompt early replacement. I also take care they dont get damaged stuck in ice . If it rains I do tend to fiddle with wiper speeds, intermittent delays, washers etc to ensure they are not running on a dry screen or faster than they really need.
