Fitting new radiator
« on: July 25, 2016, 05:49:47 PM »
Just got my new radiator for the jazz it was labelled as manual/automatic

I'm guessing the auto box uses the brass unions on the bottom (see pic)

Do I need to blank these or is it a separate circuit to the rest of the radiator or will my old radiator have blanking plugs I can use

Want to make sure before I start removing bits

I'd assume it was a separate ATF cooler circuit as the two fluids don't mix.  Probably transfer blanking plugs from the old unit.   The engine removal instructions I just skimmed refers to separate steps for draining engine coolant and draining ATF fluid and disconnecting ATF cooler hoses.

Once the splash shield is off it will all become clear.
