Accessing the bulbs in rear cluster
« on: September 30, 2013, 11:14:46 PM »
Hi,

Has anyone any tips on removing/changing the bulbs in the rear lamp cluster. I have taken the internal cover off and I can get my fingers touching the bulb holders but I cannot get a finger and thumb in there to twist and pull out. I don't think I have particularly big hands.

I tried detaching the whole cluster unit, releasing it from the bodywork but the wiring only gives you a couple of inches movement so does not allow access to rear.

Don't want to have to pay a garage to replace a £1 bulb.......

Ive not done this (yet) but the approach I usually take is to remove the light cluster and detach the wiring then you can work on the light cluster easily, then assemble in reverse.

Try to twist the bulb holder (about 30 degree) and pull the bulb out, it`s worked for me last weekend.

The wiring plugs in, so you can take out the whole assembly.  Then it is very easy
