The coupe and convertible versions of the latest BMW 1- and 3-series will be marketed as the 2-series and 4-series respectively:

The thought of being able to buy a BMW 216i or 420i! Who says BMW never learn't anything between 1994 and 2000?  ;D

Reports that the BMW 216i will be fitted with a Honda petrol engine are so far unconfirmed by Munich.  :P
