Thanks for pointing to Carkeyhelp!
ordered non-remote keys precut by photo (£20 each)

the only thing left is to find where to program those

Does anyone know willing locksmith/people with HDS around london?
The ones I called so far were quoting £80 per key  ;D

the only one to replace and program the keys is honda dealer,no one can reprogram the keys for you.

not sure about that, almost every auto locksmith is able to do that, at least for GD model.

I was too fast to prise carkeyhelp :) Keys they sent did not work for all locks, so was forced to send back for re-cut, it seem to be temporary issue with honda keys that week..

Awaiting for take#2 now. Honda dealer near Luton is willing to program keys for £30 ish (not sure if both or only one). Will update on progress, even if it's price per key, it's only £50 per key in total.

Glad you got them sorted grdmitro!

Did u buy this key??
http://www.carkeyhelp.co.uk/products/Honda-Jazz-transponder-key-HON66T.html

Ive not had the time to sort this out yet so i am back on it now =D

So i assume when u get the keys they open/lock the doors but then u had to take it to honda to program to allow it to start up the car as well?? Were honda not iffy about programming non honda keys???

I dont have the key code thingy...that make a difference when i go to honda to program this new key??

yep, this one
you need to chose your transponder(chip in the key) correctly, that page has table to help with this

correct. nope, they were very helpful, got quote over email, stating that I already have precut blanks.

nope, keycode determines shape of your key. honda can easily get it by your vin if they need it.
It's easier for carkeyhelp if you supply keycode instead of photo I guess, but photo worked for me

Hi,
Can anyone tell me where the transponder is in the 2 button remote key for GD1 Honda Jazz model 2005? Is it in the cartridge with battery or the blade stem?

I keep reading that I need to have the blank cut, which is fine, but blade is incorporated  in the key cover and it doesn't look like it can be removed from there.

Much appreciate your help

Once I've succeeded in getting a spare I think a good pictorial instructions would be nice.

My guess would be that the transponder will be in the fob not the blade as radio doesn't work through metal very well if at all.

If it's a key like this:

It's in the black key head case, at the top of the of the picture, just to the right side of the blade. The remote is a separate unit within the key head.

If you look at the remote unit itself, you can see the cutaway shape on the right-hand side of remote unit to clear the bit of the case within the key head where the transponder sits. The transponders are those wee glass tubes above the 1 yoyo coin. ;)

(and before anyone asks, I still only have one key for this car. The last locksmiths attempt at cutting me a blank key was very lame and wouldn't even work in the door. So I'm still at the one complete key and two remotes sync'd to the car.)
